Orlando, FL: February 21, 2010:  It was the final day of dock diving and Jager was definitely feeling better.  He improved his Big Air (long jump) by a full 12", hitting 23' 1".  He won the Speed Retrieve finals (breaking the 6 second barrier for the first time at 5.9 something).  My reaction time was still slow at around a half second, so there is room for improvement on my part!  In Big Air, he made it to the Pro finals and finished second.  He also won the Iron Dog competition finishing with 3026 points.  We are having a great time traveling with Jager.  He absolutely loves spending so much quality time with us on the road and in the hotels.  It was in the mid 70s today and it felt quite warm at times.  We checked into a Best Western near Universal Studios and had time to take a dip in the outdoor heated pool.  Sam especially loved that.  We are heading to Universal Studios Monday, Magic Kingdom on Tuesday, and driving back to York Tuesday night.

Orlando, FL: February 20, 2010:  The weather in Orlando was spectacular!  It was sunny, dry, and the temps were in the low 70s.  Jager got sick on the way to the dock diving event, then had pure liquid diarrhea when we arrived!  Despite his upset stomach, Jager had a pretty good day winning the Extreme Vertical competition at 6' 6".  He went on to hit 6' 10" but missed 7' 2" (making the bumper swing, but not drop).  Ten minutes later I took him back up on the dock just for fun and he easily brought the bumper down in his teeth at 7' 2".  The venue was really nice and there were a lot of dogs there.  In fact, I believe all of the waves were full.  We had a very nice dinner with an old friend from Orlando who came out to watch Jager compete.  Thanks Bao!

Orlando, FL: February 19, 2010:  Last night we left behind 18" of snow cover and headed South about 950 miles to Orlando to enter our dog in a dock diving competition.  We drove straight thru approx. 14 hours, stopping along the way to drive on the beach at Daytona.  The temperatures were in the low 60s (which is frigid by local standards) but it felt like mid-summer to us.  Jager competes Saturday and Sunday and the weather is supposed to warm to the mid 70s.  More photos and info to come!
